The Black Cat is a short story written by Edgar Allan Poe.  This story is about a man who loved animals as a child, however, over the years he began to be very different, bad feelings began to grow within his mind and heart.  Therefore, when he grew up and became an adult, he married and had animals but he treated them in a very different way, sometimes he hit his pets for no reason, simply, he had an impulse guided by anger.  One day, he decided to kill his cat Pluto by hanging him and after that his house burned down and he saw the cat's shadow, so he was shocked.  After the incident, he moved to another house with his wife and one day he found a car, similar to Pluto and decided to take it home, his wife loves the new cat, however, the cat began to annoy him and he decided to kill it. a cut, but at that moment his wife intervened and he killed her.  Finally, he decided to hide the body in the wall, when the police arrived at his house they did not find it, but this man hit the wall hard and the police heard a sound, it was the sound of the cat he tried to kill and they also found the body of his wife.

The story was set in 1843, so it was in the past in a very different time.  On the other hand, the narrator tells of his childhood and then what happened when he grew up.

 3. Why is anger crucial in the story?

I think it is a relevant aspect because it is a feeling that was the protagonist in the story, it was determined in each action that the man did, he felt other feelings but that specific one was the one that could blind our minds.  Every time he thought wrong or when he hit his pets, even when he killed his cat and his wife, he was full of anger.  Also, it shows us how manipulated by feelings we could be, sometimes, he didn't think if all those things he did were right or wrong, I think he felt satisfied with those acts.

 5. Write a paragraph about your opinion about the story.

I think it was very interesting, not because of the acts he did, it's because the story shows us the transition of a person from childhood to adulthood.  When we were able to observe that there are different situations that can change our way of thinking or acting, then we can analyze that feelings and emotions are very strong controlling our mind and we need to think about how difficult it is to handle it.  Finally, I liked the way the writer develops the story because he had an approach to the protagonist, he even tried to understand why he acted like that.
